Environmental Audit Scheme applies to all industrial units situated in Gujarat that manufacture and process specified products. The Environmental Audit Scheme classifies industries according to their products. It was introduced by the honorable high Court of Gujarat. This booklet provides information on the industries that are covered by this scheme, the objectives of setting up this scheme, the applicability of the scheme, the auditors, and reports to be submitted by the industries, complete with the dates of submitting the reports. The scheme, which serves to enforce discipline amongst industries, and monitor industries from various angles, is defined in this booklet. The qualifications, experience and roles of auditors are also given in detail. Lists of recognized environmental auditors with their contact details have been added.
