Category - I (a) units :-32 units
  • ESP installed - 4
  • Bag Filters installed - 28
  • Three rounds of monitoring completed
  • 94 samples collected
    • 57 found complying
    • 33 found in range 151-250 mg/Nm3
    • 2 found in range 251-500 mg/Nm3
    • 2 found exceeding 500 mg/Nm3
Category - I (b) (i) units :-38 units - status was reviewed on 30-04-2008

  • Bag Filters under installation - 13
  • Units closed - 6
  • Other up gradation - 2
  • Switch over to NG - 1
Category - I (b) (ii) units :-59 units + additional 8 units -status was reviewed on 5-7-2008

  • ESP installed - 1
  • Bag Filters commissioned - 7
  • Bag Filters under installation - 28
  • Units closed - 5
  • Other up gradation - 1
  • Switch over to NG - 1
  • Low capacity boiler, to submit plan - 6

It is decided to review status of remaining 18 units separately.

Category – II Foundries
  • 136 units - in process of installing the up graded APCM
  • Earlier up gradation -deviating from the LDCE recommendation
  • Units were asked to modify and get it certified by LDCE.
  • Accordingly 70 units have completed up gradation work
  • Out of these 55 units have been certified by L.D. College of Engg.
  • Elimination of fugitive emission from charging door of Cupola furnace results in improvement of working environment.
Category – III Torrent Power Ltd. (Earlier AEC), Sabarmati Thermal Power Plant
  • Station C - Installation of additional field and major overhauling of ESP completed.
  • Station D - Refurbishment of existing fields and Major overhauling of ESP completed
  • Station E - Major overhauling has been advanced and completed.
  • Station F - All electrical systems revised and tuned
  • Latest Stack Emission Reports -PM 50, 60 (St. C) , 142, 96 (St. D), 82, 67 (St. E), 100, 114(St. F) microgram/ Nm3 respectively
